Growth, Capacity Building and Sustainability
The Foundation’s growth and sustainability depend on its ability to provide outcomes and programs that hospitals value, while creating and securing opportunities for revenue growth, budget diversification, and reserves. In order to support strategic investments in key areas, the Foundation has adopted a strategy that encompasses a varied approach involving membership growth, business partnerships, program development, as well as grants, sponsorships and fund-raising activities.

Partnerships and Collaborations
The Foundation seeks to cultivate trusted partnerships to work toward a set of common goals for the benefit of rural hospitals, and to leverage, share and maximize resources and expertise in order to improve efficiency and avoid unnecessary duplication of services.

Information Technology and Resource Network
The Foundation supports the information technology infrastructure and network for more than 50 rural and community hospitals in Texas. Collectively, the Foundation’s network of hospitals and partner organizations serves as an essential resource and knowledge center in rural healthcare for Texas.

Quality Programs and Education
The Foundation is dedicated to providing and supporting quality education and learning in a manner that encourages a culture of communications for sharing ideas, information, knowledge and best practices.

To this end, the Foundation works to enhance existing and to expand new programs and services that meet the needs, priorities and challenges of rural Texas hospitals. Key Foundation programs include hospital information technology, network services, grant assistance, education, performance benchmarking, and rural health workforce development.

An affiliate of TORCH, the Foundation is committed to supporting our member hospitals in addressing their special needs and issues. Our passion and our mission is to serve rural and community hospitals and to be the recognized leader and partner of choice for rural hospitals in Texas.
